Barood is a Hindi word that literally translates to gunpowder. This bar is a new concept which brings together two explosive influences: Latino-inspired cocktails from Chilean bartender Rodolfo Rodriguez, and tapas-style Indian dishes from Chef Saurabh Udinia. Chef Udinia is from India and is the Executive Chef at Revolver restaurant which is downstairs.

The bar concept is a sexy, intimate late night venue to compliment the restaurant downstairs, but has its own identity. Plush red leather booth seats, red velvet and lacquerwork create a lush, moody and seductive interior. The carpet pattern is inspired by English interior designer David Hicks. The wall of spirits features more than 200 labels of single malts, tequilas and mescals alongside an inventive cocktail list. Chef Udinia brings a freshly developed menu of tapas available exclusively at Barood. He’s a master of fire and smoke with an inspired interpretation of traditional Indian flavours. Barood’s website describes it as “elevated tapas brim with spice” and “cocktails teeter on the edge of wild originality.”
