More Passion by The Hour Glass is a boutique multi-brand watch store by Asia's leading luxury watch retailer. It's located in the heart of Orchard Road at Paragon Shopping Centre in Singapore. The interior design scheme is largely influenced by the artistry and craftsmanship of Italian mid-century design history, in particular the legendary Italian architect and designer Carlo Scarpa.

Two conjoining circles create the display window at the shopfront and this detail is inspired by Scarpa's Brion Tomb. British Artist Tracey Emin's pink fluro artwork "More Passion" announces the entry while also bringing a contemporary flourish to the design scheme. The feature wall behind this artwork is a marble stone pattern inspired by Scarpa's stone pattern from Museo de Castelvecchio in Venice.

Inside, the polished green stucco ceiling also reminds us of Scarpa's Castelvecchio. Upper walls feature a stunning exotic timber veneer: high gloss book-matched Ziricote, which disappears behind the display cabinets. A beautiful gold silk rug sits beneath the vibrant blue-coloured Moroso Smock sofa and Italian mid-century inspired furniture by Ico Parisi.

Rosewood and ebony credenzas which border the room are inspired by vintage 1930s Gio Ponti credenzas, who was another Italian design maestro of that era.

Two private salons which lead from the main retail space provide a lush contrast with velvet wall panels enveloping each room. One room in pink and the other with blue velvet wall panels, both with timber trims, mirror and polished brass accents. Italian mid-century furniture in these rooms rounds out the scheme.
